Welcome to The King and Tinker.

King James 1 left a remembrance of his reign in Enfield. The King and Tinker pub was apparently named after King James - whom story has it lost his courtiers whilst hunting, and decided to take refuge in an alehouse. Here he shared his drinks with a tinker - who only realised he had the King of England for a drinking partner when the courtiers came back and found him! And that was the pub where he was found!
